Venezuela is undeniably one of the most stunning and diverse countries in Latin America. With its Tabletop Mountains (Tepuis) like Mount Roraima, the Angel Falls (the world’s highest waterfall), lush rainforests, the Gran Sabana, pristine Caribbean beaches, and rich cultural heritage, Venezuela should be on every adventurer’s dream list.
From the vibrant streets of Caracas to the serene beauty of Canaima National Park, the country has enormous tourism potential. At Terra Sur Travels, we deeply respect and admire the culture, people, and landscapes of Venezuela.
Despite our strong desire to include Venezuela in our South American itineraries, current international restrictions make it legally and logistically impossible for us to operate there. Here is why:
International sanctions and embargoes limit our ability to legally send payments to Venezuelan banks or service providers.
Many financial institutions block transactions to and from Venezuela, making it impossible for us to pay local guides, hotels, or transportation providers.
Travel insurance coverage is often unavailable or restricted for travelers to Venezuela.
Safety concerns and logistical challenges related to transportation and communication further complicate operations.
In short, we cannot ensure the high-quality and secure travel experience we promise in all our destinations. Until international regulations change and we can legally and safely work with providers in Venezuela, we regretfully cannot offer tours to this beautiful country.
