La Carita de Dios

Quito is the highest capital in the world and is located on the slopes of the Pichincha volcano. It is also known as “Carita de Dios”, and was declared the First Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 1978.

The city is surrounded by twelve volcanoes, among them: Pichincha, Cotopaxi,
Antisana, Cayambe, which make up a majestic Andean contour.

The Historic Center of Quito is one of the largest and best-preserved in Latin America, a true heritage treasure. Churches, museums and cultural centres allow you to discover the history of Ecuador, its richness, and cultural and natural diversity, through a wonderful journey.
