Itinerary

Day 1La Candelaria & Monserrate

The first day begins with a tour of La Candelaria in the historic center of Bogota. You will visit the Plaza de Bolívar, The House of Nariño, the Chorro de Quevedo, and two of the most important museums in the area: The Gold Museum and the Botero Museum. You will enjoy gastronomic experiences such as fruits, coffee, and a delicious typical lunch.

In addition, you will go up to Monserrate by cable car to observe the city from its top and get to know the basilica and its natural areas.

Day 2Zipaquirá & Guatavita

On this day, you will visit the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá, one of the wonders of Colombia, and the Guatavita lagoon, where it is said that the Legend of El Dorado takes place. To do this, you will go to the city’s north, first to Zipaquirá. You will go through the tunnels and tracks of the salt mine to know the only underground catholic church in the world and its history.

Then, you will go to the town from Guatavita, walk towards the natural park of Guatavita, and learn its legends. You will taste a delicious traditional lunch and return to Bogota.

Day 3Walled City and San Felipe Castle

You will visit the Walled City and the historic center of Cartagena. You will see the Castillo de San Felipe, the Palace of the Inquisition, the Clock Tower, and the squares’ most essential and outstanding colonial houses in the area.

During the tour, you will experience gastronomy with the most typical products of the city, as well as a delicious local lunch.

Day 4Beach Day at Playa Tranquila & Aquarium

This day will be about resting on the beautiful beach of Playa Tranquila on Isla Barú and visiting the Aquarium. You will take a shared boat to get there, and you can enjoy the Caribbean climate, the typical and fresh food, and the landscapes.

Day 5Travel & Rest day

On the last day of the trip, after check-out at the hotel, you will have the rest of the day for yourself.
