Morning
Your Galapagos Tour starts with your pick-up at San Cristobal Island Airport.
Upon arrival, you’ll meet our staff and drive to your hotel. You will have the rest of the day to explore the island yourself.
Suggested Visit: La Lobería Beach
Meet at the designated time and place to be fitted for your bicycle and helmet. You’ll load everything into a pickup truck and drive 20 minutes to El Junco. You will climb the steep stairs to the top of the crater for a view of the freshwater lake.
From El Junco, it’s a 45-minute ride to La Soledad, where you will visit a farm and hike to a lookout point.
A 30-minute ride takes you through the highlands community of El Progreso to El Socavón, where we can see coffee plants.
You’ll continue cycling another 30 minutes through the rural landscape and eventually reconnect with the paved bike path alongside the main road. It’s all downhill from here!
Note:
Most of the route we will cycle is on a rocky dirt road; some uphill and downhill sections are steep
Kicker Rock / Leon Dormido is an excellent spot for snorkeling near San Cristobal Island.
Rising almost 153 meters (500 feet) from the ocean, this rock formation is shaped like a shoe or a sleeping sea lion.
Snorkeling around Kicker Rock, you can see sea turtles, rays, sharks, and tropical fish. You can also spot sea lions, blue-footed boobies, masked boobies, and frigatebirds along the shore.
Your private surfing classes are held on Puerto Chino Beach, 24 km from town, and last for three hours.
With a maximum of two people per instructor, you’ll receive personalized training on wave awareness, surfing rules, tide and currents, and board parts.
In the practical sessions, you’ll learn how to position, stand, catch waves, and perform different moves on the board. Our instructors will also educate you on surfing regulations and accident prevention while in the water.
Depart from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno and navigate for approximately 2 hours to reach Española Island. Visit Punta Suarez, known for the significant number of animals that can be observed.
Pass through a colony of Albatross, blue-footed, and Nazca boobies before arriving at the marine iguana’s territory.
Return to the vessel to enjoy lunch and navigate to Gardner Bay.
Gardner Bay is a beautiful white sand beach inhabited by a colony of sea lions.
Snorkel, swim, or relax under the sun.
Your driver will help you with your luggage and take you to the airport, where you will take the air taxi to Isabela Island for approximately 30 minutes.
Upon arrival in Isabela, your driver will wait for you at the airport to take you to your hotel.
Later on, you will go to Las Tintoreras, one of the most well-known places on Isabela Island. This small islet receives its name from the reef sharks, also known as white-tip sharks, that can be seen swimming along with fish and sea lions in the channels when the tide is low. Lava rocks mainly form the islet.
On the way, you can observe penguins, Blue-Footed Boobies, Pelicans, Marine Iguanas, Sea Turtles, Sea Lions, Eagle Rays, and sometimes juvenile Sharks.
You arrive at the snorkel point and get ready to jump in! White-tipped reef sharks, Galapagos Penguins, Marine Sea Turtles, and Sea Lions inhabit its turquoise, crystalline waters.
Your adventure starts with a journey from Puerto Villamil to the Sierra Negra Volcano’s crater viewpoint.
The relatively young woods on the trail are home to Darwin’s finches, flycatchers, mockingbirds, and Galapagos Gavilan. The volcano is still active, with a diameter of almost 10 km at its widest point.
You will hike to Volcano Chico, a secondary crater with a moon-like landscape and impressive lava formations.
Enjoy a boxed lunch at the viewpoint, and hike back to Puerto Villamil.
Enjoy your Galapagos tour for seniors and explore beautiful beaches, Wetlands, and the Wall of Tears in Puerto Villamil.
Keep an eye out for giant tortoises and Galapagos sea birds during your ride. It only takes 10 minutes to cycle from town to the start of the trail, where a large sign reads Complejo de Humedales y Muro de las Lágrimas.
The ride to the end is 5km and mostly flat. Plan for 4 hours from start to finish in Puerto Villamil to make the most of your adventure.
Board a speedboat for an approximate one-hour journey to Cabo Rosa’s lava tunnels, locally known as “Los Tuneles.”
Snorkel and admire the lava and coral formations and the incredible animal life present.
Navigate to Finados, another snorkeling site where you can observe blue sharks, trumpet fish, surgeon fish, and golden and eagle rays.
Your Galapagos tour for seniors is ending.
At the set time, you will be driven to the airport, where you will catch a flight to Baltra and return to the mainland.

I have to let you know what a wonderfully good time we had on our Island Hopping Trip in the Galapagos. We could not have done it without your help! Our trip of almost two weeks in the Galapagos went so smoothly with your assistance. I was a little concerned about the language barrier and organization of this trip since none of our group spoke Spanish and we moved around to three different Islands. But having Drivers, Trip Guides, Tour Operators and Hotels all arranged for us made each and every day run smoothly and without worry. Also, It was great to be able to get in touch with you, via your App, wherever we were. I would highly recommend Island Hopping with Terra Sur Travels to other travelers. Staying on the islands of San Cristobal, Isabela and Santa Cruz gave us more time for touring, a real feeling of the culture on the different Islands, and a better knowledge of their ecosystems. It truly was an unforgettable and amazing trip. Thanks again!
