Travel Restrictions to Enter Ecuador Mainland & Galapagos

New travel restrictions to enter Ecuador & Galapagos due to Covid-19 as of February 11th 2022 are:

The Ministry of Public Health announced the following restrictions:

Entrance restrictions to mainland Ecuador by air borders

All passengers entering the country, over 3 years of age, must present:

  • The vaccination certificate with its QR code, or a valid vaccination card (two doses and at least 14 days validity), or
  • A negative RT-PCR test performed up to 72 hours prior to departure (the only authorized test for entry into the country is the RT-PCR test).
  • Any person who enters Continental Ecuador by international flights must present the digital “Traveler’s Health Declaration” when boarding the plane.
  • If the platform is not available, the physical form can be presented at the Ministry of Health airport station.

Entrance requirements to insular Ecuador (province of Galapagos)

All passengers entering Galapagos, over 3 years of age, must present:

  • The vaccination certificate with its QR code, or a valid vaccination card (two doses and at least 14 days validity), or
  • A negative RT-PCR test performed up to 72 hours prior to departure (the only authorized test for entry into the country is the RT-PCR test).

For entering Galapagos, ask us for the updated entrance restrictions regarding the Transit Control Card, extra baggage checks in the mainland and the National Park fee.
