Carrion Point is on Santa Cruz’s eastern coast, juts out into the water, forming a protected cove, a fantastic snorkeling location.
You may spot Galápagos rays, sharks, and other tropical species, on this site.
South Plaza is one of the smallest and most colorful islands, depending on the season. The cliffs are home to sea lion populations, land and hybrid iguanas, and innumerable birds.

Carrion Point
Your Sunday journey will begin with a bus transfer from the meeting point to the Itabaca Channel. Then, you will board the Galaxy Daily heading to Carrion Point, where your adventure will begin.
At Carrion Point, you will discover the Galapagos marine fauna while snorkeling. With some luck, we will see white-tip sharks and a great variety of fish, sea turtles, and rays.
After enjoying the journey to Carrion, you will have a succulent lunch onboard.
South Plazas Island
South Plazas Island is located on the east side of Santa Cruz Island. Plazas has an incredible landscape, and on your arrival, you will have a dry landing while sea lions welcome you at the shore.
You will begin your walk along a path through an Opuntia Cactus forest. Don’t be distracted by the landscape beauty because you must watch out for your steps! There are many land iguanas, the smallest species in the archipelago.
Continuing your tour, you will reach the fantastic, windy cliff. Here you can see the red-billed tropical birds, swallow-tailed gulls, brown pelicans, and the impressive frigate bird usually flying around. The trail meanders along the edge of the ridge for a few hundred meters.
While you continue the walk, you will find the well-known “single sea lion colony”: a heterogeneous collection of male sea lions, mostly elderly, who have lost their territories. Yet, surprisingly, they climb up the cliff via some rocky steps.
