During your adventure, you will run in the surroundings of 4 volcanoes, and even be able to get to their peaks.

Day 1: Ilaló: 3169 m.a.s.l.

Today, your adventure starts in Quito, Ecuador’s capital.
    You will be picked up by your guide and driver, who will bring you to the foothill of Ilaló volcano. Here, on the outskirts of Quito, you will find a true trail running paradise. Your route starts at Parque El Tingo, going uphill until you reach the summit.
    From here, you will follow the paths downhill until you reach your goal.
    You will be transferred to your hotel in the late afternoon.
    Run: 3-4 hours; Distance: 10-15km; Ascent: 800m

Day 2: Rucu Pichincha: 4696 m.a.s.l.

Quito’s local mountain, Rucu Pichincha is on your schedule.
    From your hotel, you will be brought to the Teleferico, a cable car west of the historical centre, where you will smoothly ascend to the starting point of today's trail, at around 4000m.
    From here, you have a fascinating view of the city, and, on clear days, stunning views of the glaciers in the distance.
    What follows is a fun run to the summit, over moorlands and a small rocky patch right under the top. You will take the same way back, and can again enjoy the smooth cable car ride back to the city.

Day 3: Rumiñahui 4721 m.a.s.l. - Cotopaxi National Park

Today, you will head to Cotopaxi National Park.
    Here, we will run in the Limpiopungo area up to Rumiñahui volcano and back.
    You will start at the lagoon at 3900m with stunning views of the active Cotopaxi volcano.
    Through moorlands and a fun run over sandy and rocky parts you will reach the summit.
    Tonight, you will spend at Tambopaxi Lodge, a secluded and quiet place for the next two nights.
    Run: 5-6 hours; Distance: 10-15km; Ascent: 800m

Day 4: Condor Machay Waterfalls

This is the day for an easy recovery run!
    You will start at Pita Canyon and will follow the river traversing the beautiful Andean forest.
    At your destination, the stunning Condor Machay waterfalls, you will have a great photo opportunity. Later, you will be running back and taking your van to Tambopaxi for the night.
    Run: 2 hours; Distance: 9km; Ascent: no incline

Day 5: Pasochoa: 4200 m.a.s.l.

Pasochoa is the last volcano that you will summit on this great trip!
    You will start at around 3400m and run up to a plateau with stunning views of Cotopaxi, Sincholagua and Antisana.
    Covered in Andean forests and moorlands, you can find many different species of plants, trees, animals and insects in this area.
    Back from the top, you will be taken back to Quito, where you can have a well-deserved rest!
