Day 1 Saturday: Baltra - Mosquera Islet
Today your adventure starts!
You will fly into Baltra Airport (GPS) from Ecuador’s mainland. (Domestic flights included) Your guide will already be waiting for you, ready to escort you to the boat, the M/Y Galaxy. Once you check in to your cabin, lunch will be served.
Mosquera, located between Baltra and North Seymour will be your destination this afternoon. Near a white sanded beach, you will be able to observe a large sea lion colony. In the evening enjoy dinner onboard the Alya and have a drink on your last evening in the Galapagos.
Day 2 Sunday: Santiago - Sullivan Bay - Bartolome Island
This morning, you will have a hike in Sullivan Bay. You will walk over uneroded lava flows that cover vast parts of the area. The scenery here is spectacular.
After lunch, the journey continues to Bartolome Island.
You will hike up alongside tiquilia, chamaesyce, scalesia and other plants, until you reach the top of the island at 114m with great views of Santiago, Rabida, and Isabela.
At the island's beaches, you will be able to go for a swim or a snorkel.
Later today, you will be able to observe penguins in the Rock Pinnacle.
Day 3 Monday: Genovesa - Barranco - Darwin Bay
After a great breakfast, you will land with your vessel on Genovesa Island, at Barranco.
Here, a hike is on your schedule, which is also known as Prince Phillip’s stairs. You will be able to spot tropical birds, petrels, common frigate, red-footed boobies, mask boobies, doves, and finches.
In the afternoon, you will go to Darwin Bay. Near the beach, you will find a mangrove swamp where we will find a colony of frigates, marine iguanas, red-footed boobies and mask boobies, the great terrestrial finch, seagulls, herons, and cactus finch. You will be able to take a walk around the area, take pictures, or have a swim or snorkel in the bay.
Have a drink tonight on deck and let your thoughts wander into the distance on your last evening in these magnificent islands of Galapagos.
Day 4 Tuesday: San Cristobal - Interpretation Center
In the morning you will have a dry landing in San Cristobal and you will head to the Interpretation Center. The centre offers expositions on natural history and conservation and explains the history of the settlements of the islands.
You will learn about the volcanic formation of the islands and the evolution of the species.
Here is where your adventure ends!
You will be brought to San Cristobal Airport (SCY), where you will catch your flight back to Ecuador’s mainland.
